About Us

Gilbert Harper started raising a couple pair of quail that were given to him from a brother. A couple of years later the business took off by selling quail, pheasant, and chukar to local people interested in hunting and stocking. They used styroform incubators until 2000 when they started using a Natureform incubator and hatcher. Clydeene runs the farm poultry side of the business by using one of the three large hatcheries in the United States to drop ship chickens, turkeys, and waterfowl. Gilbert and Clydeene are members of North American Gamebird Association (NAGA) and are NPIP certified. They also support Bird Shippers of America which supports the right to ship day-old chicks through the postal service. To read more about this issue click here.

They have two children, Brent and Vanessa. Brent and his wife Crystal and daughter Anastasia live in Bedford TX where Brent is a Chiropractor and owns Harper Family Chiropractor.  Our daughter Vanessa graduated from Texas Tech majoring in Environmental Conervation.  She is married Stephen Sterwart and they live in Lubbock, Texas.
